i was DX'd with only a blood test, prescribed synthroid and cytomel, and only later, on my first visit to the endo, was my thyroid palpated ... it's a common symptom, hoarseness, and you could read up on the myriad of symptoms in the Sticky: info archive near the top of this board (did i say i was hoarse?
