Long Story Short, Have Anxiety And Panic Attacks, Went To A New Doctor Who Did Some Blood Work And Said Thyroid #0.004, Normal Range 3-5, Also Checked T3 T4 Etc., Said Numbers Were About The Same, I Have Been Taking Paxil For A Few Weeks, Doing Ok, He Put Me On Propranolol This Past Friday, I Took 10mg Yesterday 3x's, And Yesterday Evening Was Driving And Suddenly Felt Dizzy, And Like I Couldnt Catch My Breath, Had Panicky Feelings, Felt Heat Waves, And Couldnt Get Home Fast Enough! I Thought I Was Going To Faint Or Go Crazy! I Dont Know If It Was This Medicine, Or A Panic Attack Due To Feeling This Way.
Is There Anyone That Has Experienced This On A Beta Blocker?

Hi l was put on propranolol when l was dxn with hyper thyroid l had a few scary turns and was assured the 10mg was alow dose l was taking 2 x 10mg 3 times a day this was then reduced and l felt a bit better l didnt so much as have 'panic' symptoms more feeling 'whacked?' the docs said maybe my blood pressure had dropped fast? After taking them anyhow l went on eventually (few eeks later) to my antithyroid drugs and slow release propranolol 1 80mg capsule a day and was fine with that slow release drug been off it a few weeks now was on it about amonth altogether have a word with your doc good luck xx niecsey
