I'm back..update and question

Hey all

Its Vince. Sorry I haven't posted in so long for those who have been following my threads. I have been extremely busy the past couple of weeks. My mom has been as well, so we have not made the appointment with the DO yet. However, I did get all my insurance information and information on the DO I am going to see, and hopefully get an appointment next week.

I have a question on another symptom that came up in the past weeks. Last night was my worst case of this. For a long time now, one of my ongoing symptoms is tiredness, yet I am unable to fall asleep easily. I went to bed at 10:30 last night and as I was drifting into sleep, my arms and hands were trembling. Almost like shivering, but to a more severe degree. I could even feel it in my mouth; and my facial muscles felt like they were doing it too. It woke me up, and whenever I tried to fall asleep again it would happen. This is the worst case I've had of this; as this has happened several times before, especially if I was very tired or stressed. This seems more like a neurological symptom or a sleep disorder symptom, but can it be caused by a thyroid problem? Also, sometimes when I'm falling asleep my head feels like its "floating", like Im drifting in water. Any help is appreciated

Thanks

Vince

PS. I have also been getting a lot of weird, itchy rashes, and waves of cold sweat/chills. Is there anything else to consider besides thyroid problems?

UPDATE: I just got an appointment for Sept. 10th. I'll let you all know how it goes.

I've had many odd things simular to that happen. I don't remember, but did they check your blood sugar with a 5 hour glucose test? Blood sugar problems can also cause the shakiness and odd floaty feeling.

Re: I'm back..update and question

It might not be a bad idea, blood sugar imbalances can cause all sorts of symptoms, even symptoms that mimic thyroid, and thyroid problems can cause blood sugar problems to be worse, so one or both can cause all sorts of problems.
Blood sugar imbalances can also cause jitteryness, lack of sleep, brain fog, waking at night feeling like your insides are shaking, trembling like you are cold but arn't, dizziness etc etc.
Be sure if you get your sugar levels tested that they do a 5 hour not a 3 hour, many problems do not show up in the 3 hour but do in the 5 hour test.
Keep us posted.
