I have been taking levoxyl for about 8 weeks & for the past 3 I have had a constant feeling of a sore throat or irritation in my throat. Also my nose is really dry and the few times that I have coughed something up it is brown. Otherwise when I blow my nose it is clear. ??? Does Levoxyl cause sinus problems? I've never had them before.

I know this is a long shot but I thought I'd ask.

Sinus problems aren't typically associated with thyroid meds, but they are common with hypoT itself. You probably should seek separate treatment for sinus infection.

Greta,

I have been on thyroxine for three weeks now and my throat is killing me now. It started off with my glands up and now it feels like i have been smoking a pipe for the last month! I hadn't had this wierd feeling in my lower throat before so I can only put it down to the meds. I also get this wierd twitching that seems to be coming from my thyroid area. Something from Alien perhaps?

I can't help explain what causes it I'm afraid and I couldn't find any info on it but just wanted to say "Me too!!!"
