 Most recent visit since starting treatment
Had my followup appointment today since starting the 25mcg of synthroid approximately four weeks ago. Told her I don't feel any different. She wants to wait two more weeks before doing more blood work to check my ft4 and tsh. She is sending me for a cortysin stimulation test also. I'm a little leary about that. What if my cortisol is actually high and i'm given this test is it going to make my adrenals flip out? I guess it's and acth stimulation test. I believe that the cortrysin stim test is another name for it. Anyhow, I believe she may think I have some adrenal insufficiency. I just thought with that you are underweight, not over weight. She said depending on that and the results of the next thyroid test she will decide what to do next. She said she may send me to an endocrinologist. Since I have low Cholesterol levels and "low" normal hormone levels I'm hoping the adrenal test shows something. I thought all of those things tied in together. I know in the last three weeks or so my symptoms have never changed and my heartburn has come back after a 4-3 months hiatus. I've had to start up my prevacid again! This is really crazy!
