Postpartum problems with thyroid are very common.
You say, "bloods came back normal"... but don't be so sure about that. Your results may be in the "normal" range, but that doesn't mean they're normal for you. It could be the best tests to determine a problem weren't even done. Post your results with their lab ranges if you want to; we'll see what the doc may have missed.
Edited to say: I forgot to answer the question. No, an MRI will not show your doctor what he needs to know. It's all in the bloodwork.
