Have a question about thyroid blood tests

On the bloodtests results does it usually say if the result is high or low? I am talking about the tsh and freet4.Mine has the L at the end of the letters. I don't have them with me. Left them at the docs.

Hope you can make sense of this

Re: Have a question about thyroid blood tests

I have mine here in front of me and at the end of the range there is something like "umol/L" or "pmol/L" L= litre (I think!). There is another column where they mark if you're outside of the normal limits (its called Outside Normal Limits coincidentally enough ;) ). This is how all my lab results look - then again I'm in Canada !

Thank you Nat. These bloodtests are all different aren't they. Have you ever visited the www.thyroiduk.org website? I enjoyed reading it.

Nope, Betty, I don't think I've been to that one. Now it looks like I'll have something to do this afternoon ;)
