hypothyroid - cysts - kidneys problems- help I'm falling apart
hello everyone. I have found healthboards a few months ago and it has helped me so much. I have so many sysmptoms all over the place. I have been having pressure in my head when I lie down and pain in my neck through out the day. My left side of my body feels numb and aches. I'm going to see a urologist Tuesday. I have had 3 UTI's since May. The latest test done that says there is no infection, but blood has been found in my urine the last couple of weeks. They think I may had a kidney stone. They found one in a urine sample that was grayish and the size of a bread crumb. Unforunetly they sent if off in the wrong tube to the lab, so no results from it. They did a ct scan and found no stones and said everything looked in tack, except for I have cycsts in my ovaries and pelvic area. I've been having back pains on and off for about 2yrs. I was recently diagnosed with hypothyriodism. I've been having the classic symptoms of both hypo and hyper like pulsing heart, tiredness , pains in neck, no menstrals, anxiety, depression, etc... Now I'm having numbness in my left arm and leg. Is anyone else experiencing symptoms like these or have any advice what I need to tell my urologist when I go to see him? I've been sick for months and nobody seems to know what is going on with me. I might have to go to a nurologist after this and I'm getting so tired of doctors. Sorry this is so long, but nothing has been simple for me lately. : ) thanks
I also have a kidney stone, a huge one that has to come out surgically. I have wondered if it has to do with thyroid, but I cant find any info on that.
I am new to all of this, but I do know that I also have arm tingling etc.
[COLOR=DarkSlateGray]I wanted to update about what's been going on. I saw an urologist and he got me in with a cardiologist about the left side of my body being numb. I may have to do a stint in a vien in my neck that was damaged by radiation at 17. I go week after next to run tests and maybe do the surgery. I've finally found a urologist that'll listen to me. He actually check the blood pressure in each arm to prove there was a problem. He's running tests this week and x-rays to find out why blood is still being found in my urine. I think my thyriod going out of whack is what got all of this started, but that was also related to my radiation treatments to my neck. I'm still searching for a good endocrinologist for my thyriod. They actually had the nerve to call me and extent my next appiontment from 6mths to 8mths. They already canceled my October visit for blood work after I had an FNA done that came back negative . I'm still having pains in my neck and think the cystic nodules are back. I don't know why I'm getting nodules being hypothyriod, and my levels are suspose to be ok at 3.5. But I have hope in my new urologist and I think he'll get to the bottom of what's wrong, I hope. I've also got to say I've really enjoyed these boards and I'm glad to see I'm not alone in dealing with all of this. It has really helped me to go on and keep fighting. good luck to everyone
I am hypothyroid, and have been having a pain in my left lhip and down my leg to my foot.It seems to burn a bit,in my foot.I have had this before....last year sometime.
I have had my blood pressure done, and it was high.I also have blood in my urine, and have had two ultrasounds and two x-rays.I had a cystoscopy done about two months ago (Was that horrible or what?).I have two cysts on my vas deferens, and thought this might be the cause...but no they say.
Anyway they can't find what's causing the blood so the specialist said We will just shrug our shoulders and leave it at that!!,so I'm none the wiser.I have been told that where blood and urine pass in the kidney's there are places where they are only separated by fine membrane, and so it's possible to get blood in your waterworks!,who knows?.
I must admit to getting all sorts of pains in my abdomen area before the cystoscopy, but they went after, power of the mind eh?.
You are the second person that's told me that they haven't been able to find anything and maybe it's the thin tissue. I wonder if that'll be all for me too. If that's the case, I'd like to skip them running a camera in my kidneys. I don't even want to know how that will be performed. I did have luck at the cardiologist this week. (Although my heart refused to do it's flutter that day.) He found an artery in my neck that was deformed from radiation. He may have to do a stent next week. I hope that'll fix some of this pressure. medical terms: (subclavian angiogram with possible stent) And to top things off this week, my endocrinologist calls to again delay the next time I see him. He wants to recheck my nodules after 8mths. He hasn't even done blood work to see how the levothyrozine is doing since he uped it to 75mcg. I can't wait to find a new doc and fire his butt. Anyway, I wish you all good luck in your detective work of getting doctors to listen and fix what's going on.
