Eight weeks ago my doctor bumped my armour thyroid dosage from 60 mcg to 75 mcg. I take 45 in the morning and 30 in the afternoon. I only have one nagging symptom left: minor fatigue. It improved some after the dosage increase but is still there. The only blood results that I got from the doctor are: TSH: .86; FT4: 1.25; and T4: .56. My question for anyone with armour experience is this: would bumping my dosage up to 90 mcg per day help, or would it be better to ask for a small dose of synthroid and hopefully boost the T4 up. My doc is really good about letting me choose the course of action, I am just not sure which is the best way to go. If I could only get rid of the fatigue!! Thanks
I think it would help the 'numbers gurus' to know what the ranges are for your blood test results.
I too have experienced the recurrent fatigue after a few days of feeling better on an increased dose. It is my understanding that occurs when you are still not optimized with your meds.
