That is hard to compare and quantify, because TSH does not directly correlate with symptoms. TSH has one purpose, to regulate the thyroid gland. Its levels in the blood cause no symptoms whether it is high or low. TSH is only a "messenger" telling the thyroid gland to speed up or slow down its production. It is also a VERY indirect messenger, at that.
Here's how it works:
1. Your thyroid gland makes thyroid hormone and releases them into your blood for use.
2. Your Hypothalamus measures how much T3 and T4 is in your blood, and releases a corresponding amount of TRH.
3. Your Pituitary gland "measures how much TRH is in your blood and releases a corresponding amount of TSH.
4. Your thyroid gland releases tyhyroid hormones into the blood based on how much TSH it "measures"
5. Go back to number 2.
AS you can see it is an indirect process. Anyhow, the symptoms are caused by levels of T4 and/or T3 not being optimal for a particular person.
That being the case, I'll answer your question. My T3 and T4 have to be high enough for me to feel well that my TSH is less than .01.
