| I should have asked my doctors more questions...any input?
I am going in for my tt tomorrow because of thyroid cancer. Has anyone gone ahead and started the low iodine diet right after surgery (since I probably won't feel like eating anyway)and then had the radioactive iodine treatment 2 weeks post surgery? What is the minimum amount of time that someone has gone without thyroid meds before the radioactive iodine treatment? I would like to have this over with by the new year. Thanks for any input.
