Question thyroid eye diease?

I was diagnoised with hypothryoidism when I was 16...now almost 20 and have had watery eyes ever since I could remember. My eyes water 24/7..I am blotting them about every 2 mintues its frustering and embarassing. The water fills up my whole eyes until I blot it or it spils over my eye or goes on the top of my lid. Anyways I went to see a specialist in TED and he took my blood and did an MRI...he discovered that the tissues around my eyes were inflammed and my blood work came back showing all my levels were wrong. He said I needed to see my thryoid doctor to get my levels under control and when that happened my eyes would stop watering. Anyways my doctor said my levels were fine and that they were out of whack due to my birth control pills. Both my doctors are specialists and I just don't know what to do...any sugestions would be great!

Re: thyroid eye diease?

Believe the TED specialist. Your doctor probably doesn't know anything about what acceptable levels are. Most GPs don't, so he isn't unusual.
Post your test results with the lab ranges so we can see what he's missing.
