Blood report showed my TSH level to be 0.024. This test was repeated twice and both times it came close to this 0.024-0.029. However third time the blood report indicated 0.33. My endocrinologist advised me to go for a Thyroid Scan and Uptake test. I did that and it showed normal sized thyroids. My doc made me take another blood test and this one came back showing 0.129. Slight improvement but my doctor menioned he was not 100% sure if I had "thyroiditis" or if I had "Hyper-thyroid".
Each time the blood report only checks for T4 Free and TSH. Is there any other things to verify i.e. T3 etc. It has been three months and my doctor still cannot tell. What other measures can I take to find out which one of the thyroid problems I have?
