I'll be seeing my first endo in January, and I'm trying to gather as much information as I can about myself, my family history, my symptoms.. etc.
I'm nervous though that the blood test he's having me do before I go see him will come back normal. (he ordered TSH, FT4, and both antibodies to be checked, with a preliminary diagnosis of Hashi's - probably because my mom has it. This is all without ever seeing me, but just reading a brief family history.) My last TSH test (that my GP did) came back with 2.79 with the range being something like 0.4 - 4.8. She didn't want to treat me because I was normal - I know this isn't true which is why I seeked out my own endo.
Anyway, what sort of questions, and other information should I have prepared for him? What should I do if he gives me the BS about not wanting to treat me because my levels are "normal".
