Re: Thyroid and high blood pressure
My BP had been lowish for my entire life, too.... Until the few years before I was finally diagnosed. It got to be very "spiky"... Normal at home, very high at the doctor's office - and presumably, at other times of stress. Now that I'm in treatment, and my levels are good, I don't have those spikes anymore. It's nice and even all the time.
My cholesterol was 239 total, with high LDL that wouldn't budge no matter what I did. I'm sure it was from the hypoT, but I haven't had another test since hypo treatment. My doc is sure it will have come down, and he isn't too concerned. Maybe I'll have a test run in the coming year to make sure.
High trigs can also be another hypo symptom. Mine never were unacceptably high, but I was able to lower them by sharply reducing my sugar and white flour intake, and by gently exercising a little more. You may want to try that.
