Adrenal results

I just posted my results for Chris on the Addison's site.

It turns out those of you who suspected my torture from the thyroid medication came from ADRENAL issues..Were 100 percent correct!

Johnsbabe, Midwest, Meep..and others...sorry can't exactly recall everyone.

Chalk one up for the good guys!

Thanks so much. If it weren't for you...I would continue the torture until I killed my little adrenal glands.

Lets see what my latest dim-bulb doc has to say when she gets the results....

Re: Adrenal results

Glad you finally got the answers you needed. Keep us posted.

Are you still taking any meds at this point? How are you feeling?

Re: Adrenal results

Thanks for responses.

Well...I'm not expert on the adrenal thing either. I've got a whole host of questions too. My doc got the results yesterday and still hasn't called to inform me. She doesn't know I already know...so once again we know the negligence continues...

Chris on the Addison boards...says I should get a STIM test. I'm still not understanding what the best course of treatment is and why. It appears the doctor doesn't have a clue.

From what I gather, even though my Cortisol level is WAY high in the morning, and goes a little too low in the evening, I should perhaps take some cortisol. I don't know if this would give my adrenals a break...so they could recover...or if this simply is cortisol on top of cortisol...which will make me age faster than I already am.

So..in the end....I'm still pretty worried and confused, but glad that I've uncovered something that would point to the reason for my pains...that the doctors say isn't there.

I already got some isicort..because in my heart I just knew I had an adrenal problem....Its milder than the factory ordered stuff, and you can just take a couple during the day.

Dea...yes. Get this -- I am taking: 10 milligrams of Armour, 5 mcg time-released Cytomel, and 100 micrograms of Synthroid. That's like: 106 T4 and 6.5 T3.

I started this just on Tuesday...the time-released cytomel and a couple milligrams of Armour being the newest additions. I still feel groggy, and miserable...although the fibromylagia is better with the T3 and the mind has improved too. I see now that I should have never tried t4 alone. By far it did the most damage.
