Levoxyl is another brand of synthetic T4.
Synthroid, Levoxyl, Levrothroid, Unithroid are all synthetic T4, they are all about the same except the binders and fillers are different. More people tend to have difficulties with Synthroid than with the others.
Thyrolar is T3 and T4 but is synthetic.
Cytomel is T3 only and is synthetic.
Armour, Nature Throid and Westhroid are all natural desiccated pig hormone, they contain both T3 and T4.
Whether one is better than the other really is a personal thing, some people have no problem with one whereas another person may have many problems, the key is finding the med that works best for you and with your body.
I prefer Unithroid and Nature Throid, those are the brands I take and seem to work fine for me. I started on Unithroid and later tried Thyrolar but didn't do well on it, went back to Unithroid and added Cytomel but didn't do well with the Cytomel so I just added the Nature Throid to my Unithroid.
