I have been on synsthyroid 125mcg I feel realy run down and I'm thinking about buying T3 to see if this helps, do any of you take or think its dangerous to take herbs or t3, t4 with you meds. hypothryoid
Hi - I'm hypo with nodules and take 137 of synthroid and 15 mcg of t3 (cytomel) - I'm sorry to say that fatigue is one symptom where I have not had much improvement....I do think the t3 helps a bit....other here may have more info....I would be careful mixing herbs with the other meds just because it seems this thyroid is a sensitive thing - but other people might have other experiences....hope you feel better....
take care,
Kathy
Hi...how long have you been on meds? It takes about 6 weeks to get optimal effects...now the T4 converts to T3...maybe yours' in not converting too well (my case and my T3 were even mid range...but not good for me)....What are you labs? You many need an increase...you may need some T3 like you think, you may need a different brand...
For me, I made the switch from Synthroid 50 and then 75 that I was on for two months to "Japanese" Armour....our pigs are a bit different here. I am only on day two mind you, but I can tell a difference. Less tired, yes and foggy brain has cleared a lot. Whether it is the T3 in it (probably) or because of the other little stuff in it, or that it is natural I don't know. I noticed a real difference this am...day two....just a thought....can't make any big claims yet!
I have been on the Synsthyroid for about 3 years 150mcg now 125mcg i have alot of Lathargic moments(brain fog) and low energy . I can try the t3 and see if it helps can you purchase this at a GNC store or others? and how much should a person take?
Do you have copies of your labs? It sounds to me more like you need an increase in your meds, as opposed to just T3 - it's hard to say w/o seeing your latest labs though...
