Weight Loss Question
Hi. Currently I'm on synthroid although I'm not sure what dose. Anyway I've recently lost about 20 pounds. If I continue to lose is it possible I can stop taking the medicine. Of course after I check with my doctor, but I wasn't sure if I should ask him that.

losing weight doesn't mean your thyroid is healthy again. It might just mean you're at your optimal dose.

Almost everyone has to take thyroid hormones for life, once they start them.
