My Armour was increased from 60mg. to 120mg. at the end of May. Since then my pulse is running in the 90's. Before the increase it was in the 70's and low 80's. A couple of days ago it was 112! This morning it was 96. Is this to be expected? It's only been 3 weeks. Do you think it will get lower as my body adjusts to the increase? On the other hand, my blood pressure has not increased. It's fine. Any input you can give will be appreciated.
When you went back down 1/2 grain, did your heartbeat go back to normal?
I just want to be darn sure that I'm in the "normal range" when I get re-tested in August. So I'm leary of cutting back on the dosage. Dr. wanted to take me off Armour when tested in May because TSH had "only" come down 43 points! Said Armour wasn't working! Can you believe that? I hope splitting the dosage will help with the increased heartbeat. As I said before I only started yesterday. I'll try that for awhile and see what happens.
Yes, my pulse went back down but I am still feeling tired from that sudden increase.I skipped my afternoon dose that day. The next day I took 2 1/2 grains all together.
I had an adrenal crash I am sure. Today my legs feel weak and hurt a bit with a slight headache.
I think there are many doctors that don't like to prescribe Armour. Not sure why.
