I have Hashi's and I had 3 sessions of acupuncture.
I felt very relaxed during the treatment, and after I felt like I was walking on air. But on every occasion, I then became very ill, feverish, nauseous, and my Hashi symptoms got much worse the next day.
The acupuncturist said it was 'a healing crisis', and within a few days I should feel better. But each time it took me about 2 weeks to get back to where I had been. I persevered with another 2 treatments, but then the acupuncturist called a halt, as she said the treatment was obviously too strong for me.
To be fair I was very sick at that time, having been newly diagnosed, & with very high TSH and very low T4 & T3. A year later, my TSH is suppressed and my T4 & T3 normal range, so I may try acupuncture again.
Right now, I am seeing a Naturopath whose approach is to use Vit & Mineral supplements and treat for Candida. I am not getting on well, as I
have multiple food intolerances so cannot tolerate any of the supplements she has given me ! Ho hum.
From what I have heard, many people with Hashi's get a lot of help from natural medicine.
all good wishes.
