Hypothyroid and thin?

I have been on Synthroid for about 7 years. I'm very thin and I still feel like I'm in a mental fog fairly regularly. I feel like there must be something more going on. Any thoughts?

Re: Hypothyroid and thin?

I'm also hypo and thin. I don't know your age but for me after I started on bio-identical hormones I was able to put a little weight back on so I feel and look better.

Re: Hypothyroid and thin?

You can be in perimenopause in your midthirties and hypos often go through this early. Perimenopause can last for 10 years even, before actualy meno...so I have read...what fun!

Why don't you post your labs along with the labs ranges and will will give it a shot. Lots of times a person is just undermedicated or needs to add in T3 or some adrenal support. Let's start will your most recent labs first: FT4, FT3 and TSH....If you don't have them, go get a new set of the ones I mentioned...TSH alone (despite what the docs say ) IS NOT ENOUGH. Hopes this helps, don't worry we are all hear (here for each other and to help! Pixiek
