wanted to say thanks

i had posted about a week ago about questions on how to determine thyroid problems...you all advised me to go get the bloodwork and i did...even with thyroid issues and goiters (sp) in my family my thyroid levels are perfect...reason i went was the sweats, cant stand the heat, drastic weight loss since the end of jan, irritability, fried hair and brittle nails....

so now i have to chart my food and liquid intake for a week and see whats causing all this

thanks again for the great advise you guys give

Re: wanted to say thanks

Could you post your results? Lots of time what the doctor calls "perfect" - isn't.

Yes - please post your lab results, sapphiregem, with the RANGES. ALSO-did they do the antibody tests? Your symptoms sound SO familiar to a lot of people here!
Take care, and again PLEASE post them.

Re: wanted to say thanks

pretty bad results may look perfect to a doctor that doesn't know about thyroid problems. My GP insisted that my TSH of 2.8 [0.5-5] in the middle of the normal range and so was as normal as it was possible to be - WRONG!

post your results if you want some input on them, there's a lot of people on here that have been through it all!

Re: wanted to say thanks

Charting food and drink isn't going to reveal anything about your thyroid.
Be careful! It sounds to me you're just being humored.
I agree with everyone here that MDs will often tell you results are "perfect"... "normal"... "couldn't be better"... and they're dead wrong.
We'll still be here for you after all that charting gets you nowhere.
