"ive done it"

I had my endo appointment yesterday and guess what he is going to give me a trial of Armour yippeee!!! (daisy trying to bounce around with joy but not got enough energy)
yes!!! all of you here in the Uk there is a doctor in the NHS willing to give it a go.
i was all geared up for a fight and to reel off all the info i have had from you guys to support my cause but didnt need it.( no doubt i will be back for advice on the best way to take it though)
I am not sure when i will take my first dose as the endo has to write to my doc, who has to set it up with a local chemist who has to specially import it from america, but i at last feel like there is light at the end of the tunnel.

the endo was great, he sat and listened to me then explained everything in laymens terms so that i fully understood, then agreed to give me Armour trial.
i have got to have a cardio echogram though as he thinks my dizzy spells, fainting and palpatations may be cardiac linked. I think they are just my body kicking back at the levothyroxine i had no problems until I started to take it.
I have also gained another 15lbs in weight since my last bump up of levo at the beggining of march, hopefully Armour will solve that

wishing you all a healthy symptom free weekend

Re: "ive done it"

Yes!

I'm so happy for you!!! that's a fantastic result!
whereabouts in the UK are you? anywhere near Bristol? I'm on the verge of making an appointment with a private specialist down here as she treats with armour but if there's an nhs one then that'd be better!

Re: "ive done it"

heh
well i'll make the wild assumption that it's south east
don't think GPs can refer you on the NHS outside of their city...
poop
ah well, private here i go

i really hope that armour is right for you, from everything I've read it does seem to suit most people better than synthetic *keeps fingers crossed for you*

Re: "ive done it"

Thanks for that!
trying to decide whether the travel would work out cheaper than just paying the private fees, meh.

problem for me is that my results are well within in the normal range... I might just pay and have private blood tests done as you can get your frees tested that way and see if there's anything funny going on with that...

weekend is mostly sunny here, sadly I'm working as someone has to be here to look after IT stuff every day (I work in a tourist attraction with lots of computer based exhibits - boo!). Still, means I get a lot of next week off for free so hopefully the good weather will hold!

Re: "ive done it"

I'm sorry to butt into your thread, but i notice you all live in Uk (not real bright of me since I read it in your posting). What part of the Uk are you all from? My son married a lovely girl from Walthamstow, in London and now makes his home there. I have visited numerous times as my Grandmother was from Liverpool. Lovely country, Lovely people.
