I take a high quality supplement. I believe your body needs the basics to accomplish the basics. And recently I added things I found out were deficient in most hypers. Like calcium and magnesium ratio balancing. Also, iodine is not recommended with any thyroid disorders. So try to stay away from iodine.
I read that most hypers are deficient in magnesium. I loved dairy (still do). Plus my multi had 5x the amount of calcium over magnesium. So I have added magnesium to my regimen. I can tell its working balancing out the cal and mag ratio.
You being hypoT, you might check your magnesium intake. You might be getting too much and need to back off it. (Like I had to back off the calcium intake.)
You can do a search on the net for "thyroid nutrition" or "thyroid alternatives". Something along that line anyway. There are some really good sites out there. You just have to go find them.
