Hi All, I hope you do not think I'm a dummy but I am fairly new to this board. I was recently dx with hypo and reading all the posts I can to learn more and alot of them talk about talking to their Endo. What do they specialize in exactly? I also keep seeing people that Hashis and wondering if I might have this. How do they determine that by you blood work? Thanks so much! Jules
And Endocrinoligist works with the endocrin system. They specialize in thryriod disorders, diabetes, and others diseases.
I was diagnosed with Hashi's by my endo. He made his diagnosis based on my enlarged thyriod and overporduction of thyriod antibodies. So, my body is attacking my thyroid. I am new to this, so I have no idea if this is a common way to make the diagnosis.
