Last year was when i had very high antibodies attacking my thyroid, but was not aware at the time till i saw an endocrinologist, i was hyper according to my low tsh & high FT4 & T3 levels. The endo dr put me on a small dose of tapazole along with metoprolol (for my high heartrate). Within a very short period of time (in which i developed hashimoto's but was never told that it happens when one has the high antibodies) I relapsed & became hypo. My question is this: Should I had even been given tapazole to begin with? Eventually my thyroid was going to loose function anyway due to the antibodies, it was obvious to me that the dr herself didnt know that.
But I suffered, certainly not her. I need someone's input here.
