Off to the doctor
Well I am back to the doctor. I went in at the beginning of the summer to have a small lump checked out in the upper right quadrant of my thyroid area. The lump had been there for about 6 or 7 weeks and my wife insisted I get it looked at. My internist gave me a pretty complete neck check and then checked the rest of the major "node" sites. She diagnosed it as a swollen lymph node and had no idea why a solitary node was enlarged. She told me to go see an ENT if it persisted another 4 weeks or if others appeared. Of course, right after the visit, it went down (I guess it just wanted some attention), but then I got a second lump in the lower left quadrant of my thyroid area. This one is hard and deeper, and has been there for now 12 weeks. I am going to an ENT in a week to see what this one is...
Personally I am beginning to think my neck is just wanting to be a pain.
