I have my Armour! Arrived this morning!
Daisy - when you converted to Armour did it seem like a dose increase as well?

I'm on 75mcg at the moment and have been told to either take 1.5 grains a day or 1 grain Armour and 50mcg thyroxine... that's going to be the equivalent of 125mcg isn't it? scared of going hyper o_O how long were you on the combination dose?

Hiya hun

I only stayed on the combo for a few days then went onto the armour. I felt rough for those few days though. By day 3 I felt absolutely wonderful.
It didnt feel like a med increase though and it wont take you hyper straight away. One of the great things about Armour is the T3 only stays in your system for 4 hrs so if you do get hyper symptoms you can decrease it at the next dose. Armour has less T4 than levothyroxine so its easier to fiddle around until you get the dose that feels right for you.
I also let it dissolve under my tongue instead of swallowing it and I also multi dose. from tomorrow I will be taking 1 grain am then 1 grain pm.

I have just put myself up to 2 grains a day as I had a major crash after dental work but Elmhar has very kindly advised me that the polishing stuff they use has flouride in it.
I am feeling so much better today though, but if i start getting hyper feelings then i will simply drop my dose back to 1 and half grains again.

i don't know which to go with! decisions decisions! I think I will try the combination this weekend and see how it works for me, then I can always swap over completely as and when I feel like it... I thought a weekend might be a good time to start it so I don't go all weird at work

next tests are whenever I arrange them, doctor told me to arrange them after one month with nptech as they do FT3 and FT4 and just to ask them to send her a copy of the results, then we'll review.

thanks for passing on the info, feels much less like a stab off into the dark!

oh and I sniffed the pot - you're absolutely right!
