I'm glad the endo is sending you for an u/s. That will give you some answers, or see if you need to dig further. I ended up having a nuclear scan after the results of u/s were "HOT" nodules. (heard of cat scans at this point to)
Then the endo did a needle biopsy just to make sure growth was non-cancerous. It was then put on a watch
statis until it doubled in size. Then my endo wanted enlarged lobe removed. So that's what happened 10/05
Honestly, I don't know the difference between goiter & nodule. But that some CAN BE reduced with medication. Often an enlarged Thyroid is one that is mal-functioning.
