symptoms

can some body tell me the symptoms of thyroid trouble, my doctor has asked me to be tested to see how my thryoid is working and i dont know what the symptoms r for it

Post number 4 and 9 list symptoms of Thyroid - both hyper and hypo

do thyroid problems clear up or are they for ever? what happens if they arent treated is it possible for them to clear up on their own?

there is only one type of thyroiditis that clears up on its own and that is usually associated with pregnancy and childbirh.

I am sorry but all other thyroid disorders require lifelong medication as thyroids dont tend to heal themselves.
you are probably thinking( like most of us did when we were newbies) that no one ever gets well but we can and we do. People who are truly well just dont need to post anymore thats all.
the info pages at the top of the board are a great place to start looking for answers keep posting here as there are some lovely people who really know their stuff.

There is one other that can clear up, but you still have to be on meds, and it doesn't always work, it's really called remission, and some do and don't acheive it, the disease is called Graves, it is autoimmmune, and causes hyperthyroid. Mind you it's remission, so it can always come back.
