125 mcgs is five times greater than 25 mcgs.
Levothyroxine drug dosages are sometimes expressed in mcgs (micrograms) and sometimes in mgs (milligrams), depending on the pharmacy's whim.
A dose of 125 mcgs (micrograms) can also be expressed as .125 mgs (milligrams).
Using the same conversion, 25 mcgs = .025 mgs
In order to avoid the confusion inherent in the use of "mcg" and "mg", micrograms are sometimes represented by the symbol µ .
Is it the milligram to microgram conversion that has you confused?
