does any one have a good cure??
it seem that regular laxatives do not work for me is there a natural product out ther that can be taken when one is taking levothyroxin? is there something to take on a daily basis to stop this happening. (im in a lot of pain right now) thanks. the people on this board are a God send xx
There is a yogurt like drink called Kefir that I have every morning for breakfast. They sell it at whole food stores. Long term, I think that will likely help some. I also take a couple of grams of vitamin C when I need to get things moving!
Magnesium capsules (capsules dissolve better than tablets) will take care of this and you will not have any stomach pains or cramping. I take 800 mg a day. The only side effect that I've ever heard about is loose stools and that is only if you are taking too much. I reason I think it is the best thing to take because it is so good for so many other reasons. It will help your heart beat more regularly, good for your muscles, etc. There is a wonderful post about it in the archives at the top of page.
If I were really constipated I would take 800 mg a day for a few days until you have a movement......then I would cut back a little until your body gets adjusted to it.....then increase again and take daily on a regular basis.
