Restless Leg.... Everywhere?

I just started 50 mcg of Levothyroxine last Friday after getting all labs back (TSH at 26, Free T4 at .7, antibodies over 1000) and having very bad hypo symptoms (in addition to currently significant anemia) and I am having the oddest thing - from around after lunch until bed, and particularly when it is time to go to bed I get what feels like restless leg, but everywhere. I am exhausted but I just can't lie still and feel the need to move my arms and legs and have to get up and walk around. Is this just me having an odd reaction or has anyone else encountered this as well? I end up wandering around until I am SO tired that I fall asleep as soon as I hit the pillow, but that doesn't make for much sleep....

Thanks to all!

Re: Restless Leg.... Everywhere?

Restless leg syndrome is often caused by a magnesium deficiency.

Magnesium is good for your muscles as it helps to relax them.

I started with the restless legs recently and got on the magnesium and that has really helped tremendously.

Magnesium is good to prevent insomnia, constipation and restless leg syndrome.

I take a supplement around noon and another around 8:00 pm to keep the restless legs from starting.

I've also had the same restless feeling in my arms before.

Give it a try and allow 4 to 5 days for it to build up in your system to get the affect. Possibly sooner.

Good luck

Re: Restless Leg.... Everywhere?

Thanks much Barbara! Is a standard over the counter supplement typically OK to start with just calling the Dr - or did you need a prescription supplement?

Thanks again!
