Came across this term and can't find the definition. Could anyone explain what it means? I believe it's a pituitary malfunction but would one have a high or low TSH irrespective of other normal thyroid numbers?
Hope some brainiac knows LOL!
TSH deficiency would translate to secondary hypothyroidism. It is a pituitary malfunction resulting in an underproduction of TSH. It would result in a low TSH with low thyroid hormone levels. Very rare.
