It has been over a year since I got my lump. It was negative, so I did nothing cause I do not have insurance. But, now it is starting to bother me, and I think it is growing. I can not afford this surgery. But, if I have to I will. I am just putting going back to my Endo cause I know she wants it out. I am scared to death of this surgery. I have never been put under before. I am so scared I am gonna die. Isn't this a bad place to have surgery? Can some1 enlighten me? Thank u!

Just because it bothers you some doesn't mean it has to come out right now. Thyroid surgery is very safe. It is expensive, but safe. Is this a single nodule? Are you hyper or hypo? Why does your endo want this out? Have you even talked to a surgeon?
