Well lets hope I find some answers....

I went to a new dr. today and told her my sx. I asked her to do a full thyroid panel and she is doing an ANA B-12 and magnesium...shes doing more??? I just dont know what. She said my thyroid feels prominent....?

What does prominent mean? Well she said if they see a problem she will call me if I get no phone call that means all is normal and she'll mail me the results.

Please explain what prominent is? I sometimes feel like my throat is hot and like theres a little pressure.

Thanks
Mindy

Oh yeah she and the nurse both told me that my heartbeat was pretty fast?
She checked again (after talking to her for an hour) still fast....she said for someone who has been sitting here talking to me for an hour your heartbeat is pretty fast....any ideas?

Prominant means stands out.. large.. Basically inflammed or slightly enlarged. She is suspecting you have a thyroid issue. Hopefully she tested for Hashimoto's as well.

I sure hope so...I hate going back and forth from dr to dr. I'm sure you understand. I wish I could feel my thyroid....I dont know exactly where to look. What do you think about the fast heartbeat? I didnt even know but she checked 2 times and was wondering why it was fast when I was just sitting and talking for an hour?

Re: Well lets hope I find some answers....

I can certainly relate to having a hot feeling in my throat. I had acute thyroiditis. Do you have pain in the middle of your lower neck? Take your temperature first thing in the AM before having anything to drink or eat.

What was your pulse? Do you feel very tired. These are some of the symptoms of thyroiditis. Fam

Re: Well lets hope I find some answers....

I dont know what my pulse was. I was not tired....I was actually wired??? Thats really strange. I will have to try the temp thing tomorrow. I already had coffee and oj. Well I will find out Monday if my bloods show anything. If I dont get a phone call that means my bloods are fine.

I cant wait till Monday
