Is there anybody ttc with this thyroid thing

Hi
I have been ttc my 2nd child for 8 months with no luck.
However my cycles have been very irregular, with long absences, long cycles etc.
I am really worried about it, and my doctor does say it will cause problems concieivng at least until my levels are corrected she says the disruption to my cycle is caused by the thyroid.
I had a check on my tsh and it was 0.2 so I was recieving too much thyroxine.
The thyroxine was decreased and after being on the new does for a month I was starting to feel unwell again.
A latest check shows my thyroid is underactive again with a tsh of 19.
So now my dose has been upped again.
I have been asked to be reffered to a fertility specialist as I am quite worried about my chances of conception although my doctor thinks its pointless as they will only say that I need to get my tsh levels right first.
I am 37 years of age so don,t feel that time is on my side.
All my hormones have been checked and they are okay.
Is there anybody else on here ttc with this ****** condition and having similar problems with cycle, conception etc, any advcie for me.
Do you think I ahve done the right thing asking for the referral or will I look a fool.

HI Zez its Applepip here how much thyroxine were you on and what did they reduce it to for it to go to 19 and what are you on now, yes you have done the right thing in seeing a fertility specialist you'l probly get more done than just sticking with just your GP as i know what its like when you want another baby i went through that you must keep pushing for whats yours and as for your GP saying its pointless cause you need your levels right first, tell him to get his finger out then and get you in with an endo or someone, are you from England or not, maybe MG or Midwest or someone will pick up on your post i no there busy girls on here but they are very good so hope you dont mind makeing do with me for the moment babe love Apple
