I was just reading and was wondering if ovarian cysts have any relation to thyroid. I had an ovarian cyst rupture about 5 years ago and everytime I go in for my yearly I seem to have a cyst on my ovaries.

I'm just curoius if this has any relation?

I read that Hashimoto's can cause cyst problems. I've had this Hashi deal from my teens as my endo puts it. I've had a hysterectomy, leaving one ovary and yrs later cysts on the remaining one, had the last ovary removed. I also had urethral cyst, had surgery on that too. So, from seeing how destroyed my thyroid is makes me believe it is related. Do your cysts cause pain? if so, you might want them removed.

I'm not having cyst pain right now. I actually have not had it for sometime. I was just wondering because in the past my gyno has told me I have a cyst on my ovaries. My paps are normal. 5 years ago I had a rupture...PAINFUL... went to hospital and they confirmed thats what it was.

I just had a baby 8 months ago and I remember her telling me when I was 3 months pregnant that I had a small cyst on my ovaries. Hmmmmm.....now I'm having problems....I go see her in little over a week for my yearly. I will ask if she sees any. I had bloods done yesterday and I dont think it'll show anything...right now my problems have been getting better....slowly.

I forgot to mention when I had my 1st son in 2000 I had a c-section and the dr told me he had to remove a cyst...he said it was a water cyst so nothing to worry about. I dont know how common it is to have reoccuring cyts.

I am 40, diagnosed hypo at 38. Never had any issues with cysts before becoming hypo, but once diagnosed have had issues with cysts. I think ovarian cysts are fairly common to begin with and anytime you have a hormonal imbalance you are even more likely to develop them.
