Anyone else have this?

I'm on thyroid meds with a normal TSH now. My problem is:When I sleep if I wake up on my right side I have papitations. The only thing they have found is a sluggish Tricuspid Valve. This all started when my thyroid med was increased.
But I also wonder if a person midback being out some could cause this or the wt. of a woman's chest when on your side. When I turn on my back it stops.
Appreciate your opinions
suem

Re: Anyone else have this?

Have they checked your FT3 and FT4 besides your TSH.
It could be that your meds are too high.
I would call and tell my doctor and ask for a blood test.

Re: Anyone else have this?

Thank You for the reply, The last test showed T3 and T4 in the mid range.
I do wonder if all the strange weather cold than warm then back to cold messes with hyshimotos.

Re: Anyone else have this?

Hi Suem My TSH is 2.69 and i do have palpitations wen i sleep on my left side, but i do have a problem with valve reguritation, the blood flows back and fills up untill it gives my heart one almighty thud and makes me cough and feel a bit light headed and forces the blood through then i'm fine untill it happens again this is intermitantly and happens as and when it pleases but i had this before i was diagnosed 9months ago but i think looking back i was suffering with my throid for years as my TSH was 3.4 in 2004 and they didnt do anythink about it untill last july 2007 when it was 4.49 so it could be that it started my heart problem but i'm not sure. PS when i turn on my back it also stops take care hun i know its an awfull feeling i am going in 2weeks to have a 24hour tape fitted knowing my look though it will be the 24hours thaat nothink happens love Applepip xx

Re: Anyone else have this?

Thanks for your reply. Let me know how the monitor goes. I had one done several years ago when my TSH went to 150. Was having a reaction to the change of inactive ingredients in my thyroid med that the company did without telling us. Several months later the MD's nurse called to tell me They saw tachycardia. Well it was a little late then as ER had found the problem,
I am always surprised that a person can wait forever for results or has to call and call to get the results.
Take Care suem
