I just saw my endo today and had another ultrasound. The nodule was originally 1cm, and is now 1.1cm. She wants to wait 3 months and do another ultrasound and see if it's gotten bigger before doing a biopsy. She said it's only .7cm wide, so she thought it was too narrow to do the biopsy. She also switched me from levothryoxin to Synthroid because she was concerned I was feeling worse (tired, hoarse voice) since starting the levo. She also upped the amount to 75mcg from 50, hoping the nodule will shrink.
I've read conflicting articles about nodules shrinking and not. Do they really shrink? I also had bloodwork done, but won't know those results for a couple weeks.

From what I have read, a few nodules will shrink with meds. Often the best you can hope for it that they don't get bigger.
I'm in the "waiting" period too since my us and biopsy. My nodule was 11mm and suspicious. I was on .88 levo and feeling horrid, tired etc. my new labs show I've gone "hyper" .12 -so meds decreased to 50/75, alternating days. I'm hoping the nodule decreases too. Having hashi's looks like we will "flucuate" but hoping eventually get more level? Did your endo say if the nodule was hard or soft? irreg borders or smooth? mine had all the red flags for cancer and it turned out to be benign!!! I do have to go back in 4 months to recheck. Maybe it will shrink??? hope so and your's too!!!
