Starting to feel better on Synthroid

My dr. switched me from Levothyroxin to Synthroid this week and increased the dose from 50mcg to 75mcg and I think it's working. The first two days I felt really nauseous and had a very hard time breathing. Felt like someone was sitting on my chest and it hurt to breathe, but this morning I feel pretty good. So hopefully the switch is working!

Re: Starting to feel better on Synthroid

Great news!!! You and I must have had our switch about the same time!! It is one wk today I switched from levo. to Synthroid, 50/75 alternating days. I was on 88 levothryoxine and my last test showed "hyper" .12 I think I'm a bit better too? The lump, 11 mm nodule, seems to be less of a problem. I still feel it but my voice isn't cracking as much nor is the swallowing as bad. Also I had a burning feeling in my throat, not as bad either. I went thru a horrid "hyper" stage this past wk but seems to be going back to hypo. I feel more confident being on Synthroid, generics can be ok but with thyroid issues I want the top of the line!!! I hope you keep feeling better!
