I just told mine I wanted a 24 hour cortisol rhythm test (salive or urine) in addition to the blood cortisol and ACTH test. It is an 80 dollar test. If my insurance didn't cover it.. I would.. My insurance covered it and I paid $2 dollars for it. Tell her you want a 24 hour profile of your cortisol cycle. Tell her it is for fatigue management and to please humor you. If it is normal.. that will be the end of it. Otherwise if she doesn't write the script.. make weekly visits for fatigue management.
