would your white count go up if antibodies were present?

I was just wondering if white count would go up during an antibody attack. Since I have no record of antibody bloodwork being done on me, I am looking through the old bloodwork that I just got copies of. I see that when I was pregnant, like 6 months I had an elevated wbc 12.8 (3.8-10.8)and rbc 3.75(3.8-5.10) neutrophils 10496(1500-7800),eos 0 (15-500
then again at 8 months wbc 12.2 neutrophils 9394 H ,My tsh levels (only had 2 done during pregnancy were 1.1 and 1.04. Looks like thats all that was checked.I don't recall being sick during my pregnancy. Just tired lol but I was 40 at the time. I delivered in june,I was taken off the synthroid in april ,so that was 10 months post delivery. Also the other thing was that I had started the depo shots 4 months after delivery. (which I still think has something to do with all this ,but I don't know what)

Re: would your white count go up if antibodies were present?

White blood cell counts can go up for various reasons. They don't always indicate infection. Hypers often have elevated wbc's whether they have autoimmune antibodies or not. It's just a reaction to the increased metabolism. They can also indicate inflammation. Stress can also cause an increase. They're a lab that's sometimes difficult to interpret. It can indicate that something is off in the body but not exactly what.
