waking sweating, heart pounding, and with what seemed like adrenal surges and pit in my stomach like a heavy weight. Last time this happened my T4 was high and I had very high antibodies. Looks like they are back again, the only relief is just being aware that I have had this before. Anyone else had this and if so how did you deal with it? It really makes my life miserable and I get very little sleep. Sleep for about 2 hours and there it is again. I am really having trouble deciding about thyroid removal and maybe this is the push I need. This seems to be my worst symtom and it had gone for a while. Any suggestions? I am trying to wait until the end of school (teacher) to do anything, but know I may take the first surgeon with a knife.
Also, when this happens my neck makes a crunching sort of sound like I can hear squeaking gurgling sounds in my throat. Stange? This is probably why most doctors think we need psycho referral.
