Something I just noticed today on previous blood work

I never have any thyroglobulin. What does that mean?

Re: Something I just noticed today on previous blood work

Low thyroglobin is very common in anyone with high TGAb. In cases where you do not have a thyroid.. you may not have Tg as well.. and then if you have your thyroid and the TG is low.. your thyroid may be dead. In Hashimoto's TGAb antibodies kill off the source and do not allow it to be produced. Mine is low as well. It is one of the side effects of Hashimoto's, underactive thyroids, or absent thyroids. High Tg is what you should investigate. It can be (this doesn't mean it always is) an indicator of thyroid malignancy..

I knew you did. Just wanted to be thorough about other sources for anyone else peeping in.
