Low thyroglobin is very common in anyone with high TGAb. In cases where you do not have a thyroid.. you may not have Tg as well.. and then if you have your thyroid and the TG is low.. your thyroid may be dead. In Hashimoto's TGAb antibodies kill off the source and do not allow it to be produced. Mine is low as well. It is one of the side effects of Hashimoto's, underactive thyroids, or absent thyroids. High Tg is what you should investigate. It can be (this doesn't mean it always is) an indicator of thyroid malignancy..
