Unhappy please help me

I pray someone can help me. I take a small amount of synthroid and am very sensitive to any stimulants,I upped the dose very slightly about aweek to 2weeks before icame down with abroncial/sore throat virus. I was taking cehalexin, tylanol, prempro at the time, synthroid. On the third day i got sweaty and my heart started to race out of control. My pulse was very high and icould not sit still. This lasted 12 days. i could not sleep at all even with xanax.I could not eat and have lost15 pounds I am starting to slow down aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa little but istill dont sleep well and cant eat . THE BIGGEST TROUBLEING QUESTION I HAVE IS HOW COULD MY TSH BE 4.2o AT THIS TIME? I dont feel well unless the tsh i around 6 or more. Im very med sensitive especially to stimulants of any kind.

Re: please help me

You need antibody testing in my opinion as well as FT3 and FT4 run. Your pituitary may be off and the other levels fine.

If you have Graves and Hashimoto's or Hashimoto's and hot nodules.. you can be in a hypoT/hyperT war which is VERY hard to medicate while you retain your thyroid. Have you had an ultrasound or uptake scan of your thyroid? It might be a good idea to see what the heck it is doing.

The lab codes for the blood work are FT3 and FT4 for actual T3 and T4 levels.
For the Hashimoto's antibodies: TPOAb and TGAb
For the Graves Antibodies: TSI and TRAb.
This will give you an idea what is up and why you are so medication senstive given the higher TSH. I wish I had a specific answer for you, but illness will affect things.. especially if you have an autoimmune condition. AIs go into over drive when you are ill.

Re: please help me

I am thinking adrenal insuficiency may be your problem.
I would research that.

Re: please help me

It could be adrenal insufficiency... but with low cortisol.. you expect a really high T3 level which suppresses the TSH. To check Adrenals you need a blood serum ACTH and cortisol as well as a 24 hour cortisol rhythm test (salive or urine). I did the saliva. I am adrenal insufficient. Dang Autoimmune propagation. They breed like rabbits.

Unhappy Re: please help me

I need your help anyone. I had a cold virus for four or five days.I took cephalexin, extra strength tylenol, prempro, and my normal low dose synthroid. The first two days iwas relaxed and resting, but on the third day i started to notice my hands and feet starting to perspire and i felt very out of breath and weak.Later in the evening I started to tremble, mainly my legs,my pulse rose over 100 and bp went way up.I called the doctor they said to stop meds.I did. I had to keep walking . I stayed awake walking alnight, with continuos high bp and pulse. The doctor checked my tsh and was in the normal 4.2.This was all 11 days ago and my bp and pulse is still steady very high and i can not eat(lost 14 pounds),cannot sleep. My body is relaxed (no anxiety),but I feel like something in my brain or body artificialy keeping me wide awake and no appetite. Also while this was happening at its worse ,my blood sugar kept dropping and wouldnt stay stable even with food. The few times i dosedd off it feels like my brain is still awake and can not stop thinking and flickering .My pulse races even while asleep.Has anyone ever had this happen to them for any reason?

Re: please help me

You need to go back to the MD and get retested.
TSH 3rd gen
Ft3
Ft4
TPOAb and TGAb
Something is off. it could be Hashimoto's due to virus/hormonal flux. Adrenals.. etc. A good thyroid panel is step one in figuring out what is up.

Prempro? Is that a progesterone/estrogen supplement You may be driven high there that can cause sweats and hot flashes.
