Could someone assist me?

Re: Lab Results

It has been approx 4 weeks. It does seem that the left lobe has some function or your TSH is being suppressed in some way. You can not rely on TSH alone, ESPECIALLY since you only have half a thyroid. Look over this post:

In particular the last two right now.. 36 and 37.. I believe. There are too many issues that can cause interference with the TSH. You must keep an eye on TSH, Ft3, and FT4 every 3 months minimum if you feel optimized on meds or have had a partial thyroidectomy. My mom had a PT and the Endo/Surgeon dropped the ball. She suffered 10 years hypoT.. because the MDs only checked TSH.

Re: Lab Results

thank you for the response. hopefully on Monday i will learn they have a more extensive lab result.

based on the results i listed, it appears i am still functioning? if so, that great news. although, i have been feeling lethargic for the past 7-10 days (which could be a variety of things).

i had my rt. lobe removed b/c of a goiter with pre-cancerous cells. my thyroid levels were totally normal before surgery.

thanks for helping with this.

Re: Lab Results

My mom functions normally with half a thyroid. Her right lobe was removed for the same reason as yours. it only takes 25-50 mcgs of synthroid to keep her optimal. She is 61 and has lived with Hashimoto's/Graves chipping away at her for 13 years. The PT helped alot. As her remaining lobe deteriorates more meds will be needed.
