Thyroid-savvy docs in NC/SC?

I'm just south of Charlotte, NC, and fed up with my current endo. I'm completely open to any type of doc, as long as the believe in using medication to treat thyroid problems, and don't just look at your TSH. Anyone know of one in this area? I'm willing to travel a bit if that's what it takes. Thanks all.

Re: Thyroid-savvy docs in NC/SC?

Hi, and I understand your need to find a good doc...I was being treated by my OBGYN at first, then my family doc, because my insurance didnt cover any endos, but our insurance changed and I was then able to go to Raleigh Endocrine Associates...Thank goodness our insurance changed...my regular doc had no clue!!! I like my doc, and I'm not sure if its against forum rules to mention doctors names, but my moms boyfriend also goes there, and from what he says all of them are really good. They are located in North Raleigh, and I like my doc. Good luck doctor hunting..

I see and Internal Medicine MD in Chattanooga, TN - Dr. Natalie Johnson who is with an intergrative medicine practice. My Neurologist friend dug up Elizabeth Ennis for me in Birmingham, AL. I am digging into that area, but I have no verbial know for a fact good Endos in that area.
