Ideally you shouldnt take any other medication within 4 hours of taking your thyroid meds as they can actually block the thyroid meds and so reduce its effectiveness.

Hope this helps

Re: What happens when you take calcium and magnesium with synthroid?

I take magnesium every night, it helps me sleep. My levels have dropped big time, so as far as the magnesium effecting the meds, they sure haven't made my levels go up. I take synthroid in the am and cytomel am too.

I don't know much about it but did read that if taking magnesium to help with your calcium absorption, don't take it after 5 pm. I just take synthroid.
Doesn't selenium help with sleep? Like I said, I don't know much about it.

Calcium and iron bind to Synthroid in the digestive tract, preventing it from being absorbed into the body. Make sure to separate Synthroid and calcium by at least four hours.

I can't find any info on magnesium's interaction

They say take your thyroid about an hour before breakfast and before anything else, your prescriptions.

So if going to work you'd have to take your supplements with you?

I can't remember where I read that you don't take magnesium after 5pm, sorry. I think it was some kind of search about calcium but not sure.

Yeah, I take my supplements with me to work. Do a search on "Synthroid Drug Interactions", in parynthesis. There is actually a long list of how, why and when to take what prescription drugs/antiacids/supplements.
